It was very pretty. I didn't go all the way to the top but the gift shop was pretty cool and the little chapel had a lot of beautiful windows.
It amazes me that all cultures come to visit the church and that’s such a good feeling.
Beautiful shrine. Worth visiting if you are in the area. The cafe has great food too.
The architecture was beautiful! There were marvelous pieces of artwork in the church. The staff was very knowledgeable and generally nice.
Iam from Chicago and take a trip with my 4 sisters every year for the weekend. We love every moment of it, it’s so peaceful and beyond beautiful. I’m a big believer in our Lady of a Guadalupe and have so much faith in her.
The trails here can be a little steep, but they do have carts that take people up to the church if needed.
My sisters and I will be visiting for many more years to come.
On Sunday morning we have brunch at the restaurant which The food is delicious then we head up to mass.
If I'm ever in the La Crosse area again, I would definitely revisit the church. It is absolutely breathtaking.
This is a shrine, so you need to be respectful at all times. They ask that you dress respectfully (jeans and a shirt are fine), respect others, respect the site, and do not bring pets along with you--unless it is a service animal.
It was interesting. I'm not catholic, or generally religious. So some of the symbolism is lost on me, but I enjoyed the visit.
