Time to be responsible and pay for the damage you caused and stop leaving the customer at the end of the line without the product that they will have to pay for in full, no matter how much of the claim gets paid.
Why should the shipper pay for goods that left their location in good condition and damaged in your care?
After calling 3 weeks later I was told the claim was denied because it was less than the minimum amount they pay. After discussion they agreed to pay the claim and they picked up the damage goods from our location.
Horrible service. Company delieved my material three days late and was told they had to have it on a truck with a lift gate and they sent one without. So i had to have my employees unload my order rather then work on their jobs. Dont use company unless you like time wasting.
Freight picked up from the shipper in good condition, freight gets damaged before the final destination. Freight damage noted on delivery receipt and proper claim forms filled out with supporting documents and sent to Jahn's claim department.
Damaged freight shipment? Leave it on the truck. Let the freight company take care of getting you the undamaged goods you ordered. Once you sign, it's your's.
Terrible service. Lost shipment and still made us pay the bill. I called and told the account manager I would not be paying for service I did not receive. He told me pay it or I will see you in court then hung up. Would not recommend!
The rules / laws that let these practices continue need to be updated to protect the final customer.
I feel there needs to be a change in the way damaged freight claims are handled.
Called again 4 weeks later and was told they would only be paying a portion of the claim and I would have to file with the shipper for the balance of the claim because they get a reduced shipping rate.
