DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE SCAMMERS!
I have yet to track down Brent his wife Beth for the lein release so I can get my title (Which has been paid for) I have called emailed spoke to their Minion Billy in the shop and yet no one can return a call email or be polite.
So I bought my car September 28 from City Auto Sales and by the 29 when I would turn I'd hear a clunk like sound. Now I bought my car with a 1000 mile warrenty or 1 year which ever one comes first. So i then checked over my warrenty and lemon paper work and steering and suspension is something that is covered under the lemon law so they sold the car illegally. So being I had the warrenty I called it in and they agreed to look at it there "mechanic" said I can't hear anything therefore, we can't fix it and took it to another car shop whose mechanic heard it immediately and told them and me it needed fully loaded struts City not knowing I went to this other shop and talked with the mechanic told me it just needed a strut that wasn't fully loaded and told me to come pick up the car (mind you if I did that I would have drove through the warranty) so it stayed at the shop. Then my car sat at that shop for a week and City called us back saying "oh we picked up the car so we can fix it" my question is why couldn't you have just left it for the shop to fix they were more than happy to do it. My dad then called them to get the status of the car and said they'd call back in 10 minutes and they never called back my dad then called and told them my car has been "worked on" for 2 weeks. They said it "should" be done by Saturday and if not I will be driving it by Monday. I then showed up at the ahop and they could not give me a definite answer where my car was because they took it to a diffetent shop a week after the deadline on Saturday I got my car back. Now they are trying to charge me mechanics fee and 50% of parts fee. This place is a complete rip off and I'd advise everyone to stay clear away from this place!!!!!
Bought a 2009 crownvic from city auto sales, 1st time ever getting a loan for a car and was happy. Car had some issue before buying and was told that they would be fixed and 2 months went by and not fixed a thing yet. Then find out after I bought it and got it up to speed acted up so I took it in and need a coil and plugs, they covered half the bill on it. 2 weeks owning it I called owner Brent and told him it had transmission problems which took forever to get him to answer after several cars and then the car started to act fine. 2 months of owning it my transmission went out and they won't cover the cost or repair or help and will cost me additional $1,500 I don't have. When trans started having problems 3 weeks ago I called many times and never heard till few days ago. I'll never buy from them agian and would not suggest it. If you're don't have much money like me and trying to make it by in life and build credit this could hurt you if your car does the same and can't afford the payment plus fixing the junk.
I have made an official complaint to the Better Business and I'm in the process of contacting a lawyer
Bought a 2009 Chevy Traverse in June 2016. It comes fully equipped. Little scratches and dents, so I thought, the price they're asking was a bit high. Billy was willing to bring it down by some $800. Thought it was a good deal. There was no paper work, no nothing. I didn't test drive it because it was clean and all. That should've been a red flag. I'm too trustworthy of these folks. He said, their mechanic checked the car, no leakage, no broken pipes, etc. Boy was I wrong. We hardly drove the car since our small car is a gas saver and we only drive the SUV when traveling or carrying big heavy stuff. We only drove it three times to grocery shop and back home. That was when I noticed the back wasn't cold. My son was complaining he's hot. I contacted the City Auto Sales about it and took it to them end of June but they couldn't do anything because their freon hose was too short. I have to bring it back in early July for them to take it to Holmen to the guy they use to add freon. They had the car for over a week, and didn't call me or return my car until I called. Now the steering wheel is causing issues. Once in a while it gets really hard to turn. Checked the power steering fluid, and it's full. Because they were sketchy and shady, I took the car in for a full maintenance, to find out, our brakes were so worn out, the mechanic told me we could get into an accident any minute any time. The front brakes were only 4-5 millimeters thick and the rear brakes were 2-3 millimeters. That's hundreds of dollars we could've saved, and our lives, including my 3 and 7 year old children, put into danger. I stopped driving the car and got the brakes fixed within a day or two after. I haven't fixed and check the steering wheel and I'm out of money at the moment for that.
Now, we're stuck with a car that is nothing but trouble and hundreds of dollars down the drain. Again, these should've been fixed prior to us purchasing the car... or at least disclose this info to us.
Bought a car from them 3 yrs ago
Never will I ever buy a car from small dealership anymore.
The captain seat buckle cap cracked open. This was not from us. When we took it in for freon, I do not know what they did, but someone cracked the cap where the buckle clip in. I did not want to deal with them anymore so I used clear packaging tape to tape it in place. Ghetto, I know.
If you buy from them, expect to experience a vehicle malfunction. If you care about yourself even a little, take the vehicle to the mechanic before you buy it, they'll convince you to look elsewhere.
If I could give this place a zero I would!
We only got one key fob at time of purchase. The key fob is broken. It only work for 3 weeks into having the car then it stopped. I put in a new battery and it worked for a week then it totally died on us. I order a new fob, but we're still down to one fob only. That's $100 out of my pocket.
