My sister and I were in the LaCrosse location about a week ago to look at engagement rings and the two associates that worked with us were very disappointing. My sister emphasized that she was not exclusively interested in having a diamond and instead of taking down her information and looking at what options are available (like the other stores in the mall), the associate kept pushing rings that were completely out of her price range and kept trying to pull her away from the gemstone options. In my case, I was looking at wedding bands when another associate offered to clean my new engagement ring. Upon returning it, she asked if I would upgrade my stone (I have a morganite that I hand selected with my fiance) because the color was "really pale" (again, I hand picked this stone and setting myself).
Great place to shop. Cassandra leads an awesome team, and I even stop in just to talk to the staff. It's peaceful to know that they are American Gem Society certified, and only 5% of ALL Jewelers can say that. I won't go anywhere else after seeing how transparent they are with their merchandise. I have done a lot of research on the best investor ever known, Warren Buffett, and I knew this was the place to buy when I found out he was the owner. I just got married, and everyone LOVES the ring!
Helzberg Onalaska stands behind their work, forges relationships with their clients, best of all 9-months into our marriage and my wife has had NO PROBLEMS with the rings. Rogers and Holland - we had problems with that ring (now safely kept in a keepsake box) every 6-months or less. That says A LOT. I don't usually give perfect ratings because no one is perfect, but Helzberg Onalaska is pretty darn close in my opinion.
This was my second visit to helzberg & had the pleasure to have Jeremiah help me with my purchases. He made such an awesome impression on me. So friendly, knowledgeable &courteous . It is refreshing to encounter that these days. I felt not pressured at all.jeremiah took his time to show me different items . Always had eye contact with me ,that is very important to me & that makes me feel ,that he paid attention to my comments. Today for instance I was so happy to get my favorite earrings looked at ,that I forgot to take my watch that I had just purchased & left it on the counter . I had mentioned , that I needed to get a bite to eat quick, since my blood sugar was low . Thank God Jeremiah remembered where I had planned to go & he tracked me down with my purchase in hand ! Who does that these days anymore? He earned my respect & a repeat Customer for sure ! If you want beautiful jewelry & first class old school Customer service ,go see Jeremiah at helzberg jewellers!

I've definitely become a huge fan of Helzberg Diamonds in Onalaska! I stopped in last August looking for my wife's wedding band. I had gotten my wife's engagement ring from Rogers and Holland in the same mall, and was devastated that we kept having the same recurring problems with diamonds falling out - even losing one of the main rubies! After going to Rogers and Holland, and getting the same run-around, and seeing jewelers change in-and-out quicker than you could blink - I decided to take a chance at Helzberg, bracing myself to find something that would be totally out-of-reach. I was astounded that the truth was quite the opposite!
We visited other stores in the mall and everyone else was very receptive to our price ranges and non-diamond interests. Not every ring needs a diamond to be meaningful and I highly recommend not asking someone if they want to upgrade their new engagement ring, no matter what you think of it. The comments were hurtful, extremely pushy and neither myself or my sister will be going back for jewelry.
When I came in, I was welcomed by Kathy (I think she's an Assistant Manager or one of the managers). Kathy took the time to listen to what I was looking for, help me find something that was beyond what my wife and I EVER even thought of, and, while it had a nice price tag with it, was totally within my means. We found/put together a 3-piece set for my wife that has a beautiful Ruby center-piece and filigree accents along the side of the diamond-accents that remind my wife and I of our parish where we got married every time we look at it. It's perfect!
